Youtube Live is Youtube’s feature that mimics Facebook Live. It enables creators to reach their audience in a new creative way. Youtube live can be of a person, a demonstration, and even of concerts and various types of other events.
How To Go Live On Youtube
Before going live on Youtube, you need to first verify your account. If you have not done this then go to the verification page and verify your account. After submitting your verification it will take 24 hours before you can go live on Youtube. Once the verification is done once you will be able to go live instantly, whenever you want.
Once your account is verified go to the home page on your youtube. In the top right corner click on the camera icon. A drop-down menu will appear. Select Go Live.
Select Webcam in the left side menu and fill out the form.
If your live stream is not directed specifically towards children then make sure you select the circle the appropriate circle. Click on Age restriction (advanced) to make further selections. Then select More Options and make any necessary changes.
By clicking on Advanced Settings you will be able to toggle on or off the ability for viewers to chat on your live stream. Within Advanced Settings, you will also be able to notify Youtube whether your live stream will contain any endorsements from other companies.
When this window opens it will automatically start counting down to take a picture using the webcam to use as a thumbnail. Do not worry because once the picture is taken, if you hover your mouse over the picture it displays options to retake the picture or to upload a custom thumbnail will appear. When you are ready to go live click on Go Live!

- Your number of viewers
- How much time has elapsed
- Your audio level
When you are done, click End Stream.
